Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Kim- a wife and mama to three kiddos (8, 5, and 2). I love good words, art, food, and conversation. I try to keep lots of things alive: sourdough starter, house plants, tiny humans, and a few creative dreams. While most days the children fare pretty well, I can’t always say the same for the others. But through it all, God’s grace keeps me alive and helps me laugh at the days of come.

I dabble in all kinds of arts and crafts, but in most seasons of my life, writing has been an anchor for me as I process life and find beauty in the world. A decade ago, I had a blog I affectionally titled, “Lilley of the field.” Sharing reflections and pictures of life brought me great joy. But eventually, my writing dwindled. I became a mother, moved cities, and my creativity ebbed. In the last year, I’ve began to stretch those muscles again and wade into the water of sharing my writing again. It’s been a fun, growth-filled journey. (You can read more about the birth of this writing space in my first post.)

Psalm 36:9 says, "… in your light, we see light.” My pain and joys become clearer in God’s presence. Through writing, whether private or public, the world looks a little brighter. Here you’ll find stories, poetry, and photography all threaded with the hope of God. I hope they encourage you to see the beauty and light right in front of you.
